Motherhood and the 30s

I recently turned 32 and I could feel and see changes in my body and skin. Not only these changes, but the way I look at things has also changed. When I compare myself with my 20s, I have changed a lot in terms of my looks and thinking. There’s something with the 30s that you only realize when you touch it. Most of you might know that I am a mom of two children and 5 years of parenting has made me the person I am today. The one major change that it has done is the way I choose and put personal care products in my shopping cart.

Ever since motherhood happened to me, I take special care and make sure the product I choose is safe to use. It should be made of natural/ safe ingredients. Luckily, I am bestowed with good skin but as I am already in my early 30s so I have started experiencing some changes on my facial skin.

Some signs of ageing in the early 30s

Though we are ageing every single day, we start feeling it when it is visible on our faces. Some of the commons signs of ageing that start appearing in the 30s:

  1. Fine and vertical lines that appear with our facial expressions start becoming prominent

  2. Skin loses its volume and elasticity

  3. Skin becomes less radiant and glowing

One should remember, our lifestyle and genetics also play a very important role in deciding how fast or slow we age. Definitely, a good lifestyle in the 20s can help in slowing down the ageing process in 30s.

What is ‘Good Lifestyle’?

A good lifestyle is basically nurturing your life and body with good things: clean eating, exercising, meditating, following a skincare regime and so on.

My 3 steps to slow down the process of ageing

  1. TNW- The Natural Wash ‘Anti-Ageing Pack’

While searching for some natural face packs online, I stumbled upon this pack. It really makes my heart sad when I see myself searching for some anti-ageing skincare products but you just can’t ignore the fact; all you can do is embrace it gracefully. This pack is 100% natural and helps in maintaining youthful skin. It has got ingredients like Papaya, Banana, Potato and Pomegranate that help in minimising the fine lines, tighten the pores and give you clean and flawless skin. I have used this product twice and it really helped in rejuvenating my skin. You can apply it once or twice a week.

  1. TNW- The Natural Wash ‘Rose Water’

This product is my current favourite, for it is multipurpose. This steam-distilled rose water by TNW can be used as a toner, mist and makeup remover. I also use it to make a paste of my anti-ageing pack. Also, whenever at night when I don’t feel like washing my face, I simply spray this on my face and remove the unwanted particles using a soft cotton ball. Its smell and its aftereffect on my skin are very pleasant. It is suitable for all skin types and I highly recommend this product, especially for the upcoming summer season. The reason why I use this product liberally on my skin in different ways is — it has no artificial fragrance and preservatives.

  1. TNW- The Natural Wash ‘Organic Almond Oil’

As a mother, I am fully aware of the benefits of sweet almond oil for healthy-looking skin. I have used almond oil for massaging my babies, for it is rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin E. Almond oil helps in improving the skin complexion and also gives a natural glow to your skin. During the night, after cleansing and toning my face, I take 2-3 drops of it on my fingertips and massage in circular motions. It can also be applied after TNW’s face pack to give a finishing touch to your facial skin.
