New mom’s problem: Plenty of baby care brands in the market

In today’s time, the market is filled with organic and non-organic baby care products. Earlier when we were babies, the options were limited so our moms definitely did not face a hard time choosing the right products for us. Obviously, they were lucky. Moreover, they mostly relied on other things: doodh and besan for bathing and ghee/ olive oil for massaging. I remember one of my aunties did not bath her daughter with any soap/ baby wash regularly till she was 3 years old. No matter how weird it may sound but that girl used to glow like anything. And we know it takes a lot of factors that make the skin glow. The most important being the right nutrition and safe skincare products.

Half a decade of mommying my two precious angels:

So I became a mommy of my first one in 2014 and since then, I have tried almost every baby care brand. All thanks to mom blogging life and being a digital mom. During these years, I fell in love with so many products and some products I did not use the second time. Because when it comes to baby’s skincare, I have been very choosy. And I do thorough research and test the product before applying it to my girls’ skin. So in all these years, I have zeroed in on the following baby care brands, which according to me are safe for little munchkins.

Some of the baby lotion brands I trust as a mother:

  1. Himalaya Soothing Calamine Baby Lotion

I started using this baby lotion when my second girl was born because I find Himalaya’s baby range easy on the pocket. And the smell of this product is quite calming. It contains the following ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera, which helps with the healing of the baby’s skin; it acts as an antibacterial agent and an astringent.
  • Nutgrass, which possesses antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Mustard, helps in the management of skin disorders.

This baby body lotion helps in protecting baby’s skin from itching, rashes, insect bites, chickenpox, or prickly heat.

  1. Mother Sparsh Baby Lotion

Currently, I am using Mother Sparsh baby lotion for my kids. So I started using this product when the brand launched its babycare range in January this year. And I am quite happy with how effective Mother Sparsh Baby Lotion is. Not only it keeps the skin moisturized without making it look greasy, but its smell is also mild and pleasant. So it’s just appropriate for this weather and keeps my kid’s skin soft and healthy.

This naturally nourishing, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly into the skin, keeping the baby skin soft & supple for a long time. It is suitable for normal to sensitive skin. Mother Sparsh baby lotion is the best natural baby lotion as this plant-powered formula strengthens the moisture barrier of the baby’s skin & helps to prevent it from dryness. 1. Mamaearth Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Babies

Mamaearth is the first natural baby care range that I used for my elder daughter. In 2016 (when the brand was launched), I received some of the products for review. Since then, they have come up with multiple products in the mom and baby care category. And till now, I swear by its baby lotion, especially in the winter season. This deeply moisturizing baby lotion contains the goodness of Calendula Extracts, Shea and Cocoa Butter for deep nourishment of your baby’s skin. It is completely safe for baby’s sensitive skin because it is completely free from harmful chemicals. Also, it is hypoallergenic and approved by dermatologists.

My current favourite: Mother Sparsh baby lotion

MOTHER SPARSH BABY LOTION REVIEWThough all the babycare brands I have mentioned above are safe and good for babies but currently, we are totally in love with Mother Sparsh baby lotion and its whole baby care range. From skin essentials to laundry detergent and toy cleanser, they have got everything for your baby’s well being.

My girls especially love Mother Sparsh baby lotion because:
  1. They love its mild fragrance
  2. The bottle is handy and they can easily pump it out on their own
  3. The skin absorbs it easily without making it greasy
  4. It makes the skin soft and gives it a calming effect
  5. Keeps the skin moisturized for the longest time
